Clitoris Hood The hood piercing is by far the most popular female genital piercing, however it is not suitable for everyone. Providing the hood is reasonably well developed it can be pierced vertically or horizontally. To see if you are suitable for this piercing, insert a lubricated cotton ear bud under the hood, if all or nearly all the bud fits under then you have enough skin. This piercing is suitable to wear either barbell or ring. Women with 'plump' thighs may find the vertical piercing more comfortable. Healing time is approximately 8 - 12 weeks.
